Man attacks high school girl with stun gun in Fukuoka Pref

A 15-year-old high school girl sustained a light injury on Tuesday night after being attacked by a man using what police believe may have been a stun gun, in Asakura, Fukuoka Prefecture. According to police, the girl was cycling home at around 7:45 p.m. when the man, who was on foot, called out to her to stop. When she did, he pressed the weapon into the right side of the girl's torso and then fled the scene.

According to police, the man was heavily built, around 30 years of age and 160-170 cm in height. The attack took place about 100 meters from the girl's home. Her mother immediately called police.

Police quoted the girl as saying: "I saw a flash of blue light, then a felt a shock running through me."

Looks as if this moron was on a test run. We will sadly hear more about this method soon. Glad he just took off and let her go.

There are a lot of sad bastards in this country that like to pick on school girls

After the test run, here come the actual crime. Rape? Maybe.

That moron will blame it on the manga as his defence.

The Pro - They are not sad. They are clinically insane and should be institutionalized.

Stun gun. I dont how how powerful the shock is, if it is dangerous how he get it? Is it available in market, if so for what purpose, playing for kids?

Cowardly men who attack school kids need a stun gun stabbed at their privates.

If someone has a pacemaker or a heart problem then it can kill very easily. For a normal healthy adult it all depends on your body chemistry. Some people can take a zap from a stun-gun with barely any effect, and for some people it knocks them out. There are lots of variables, like how many layers of clothes you're wearing, etc, but repeated shocks can be dangerous.

Is it available in market, if so for what purpose, playing for kids?

I haven't seen them in Japan, but I must admit I haven't been actively looking. It's actually reasonably easy to make one, although to make one which is safe and won't kill someone or melt in your hand is a bit harder.

I agree with the other commentators that this does seem to be a trial run of some kind and the police should deal with this pronto is they want to avoid it becoming much more serious.

The thing probably just arrived by Kuro-Neko. Guy was just dying to try it out on some living thing. We all have to don rubber suits. This guy will try it again.

@ disillusioned: there is no such thing as "clinically insane". Insane is a legal term, not a psychiatric term. This sorry excuse for a man definitely has some problems. Good thing for him and a few other that I may mistake for him that it wasn't my daughter.

This is shocking news!

Stabbings, stun guns, starving children to death.... is this a 3rd world country?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

susano: That was a good one!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

susano - you are all being mean to takshi89..... before western influence there was no crime, rape, or any kind of negative behaviour in Japan.... people just sat around enjoying nature and writing poems....

Hahahahahahha! That is the biggest load of hogwash I have ever heard! I guess you actually believe it too. That is just hilarious!

Are these legal in Japan? If so, they really need to think about tightening up some laws here - these deranged, socially retarded otakus running around with these potential deadly weapons is bad news... Hope the girl is OK.

This is shocking news!

Good one!

This definitely sounds like a prelude to something more devious. I hope the police catch this psycho and quick! Lucky that wasn't my daughter, the police would be arresting two people after he got out of the hospital.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What would he done if she had been stunned lying on the floor ? Freak, Pervert & nut. They need to catch this guy. Obviously he lives less than 3km from where the attack took place. Since he ran on foot.

If I were the police I would check every big japanese guy around 170cm and jobless or causal dressed person. In a radius of 3km or 4km.

"Lucky that wasn't my daughter, the police would be arresting two people after he got out of the hospital."

Oh, the inevitable macho posturing! What makes either of you think you could hurt this guy? For all you know he's built like a brick shthouse and could tear you apart with his bare hands. He's already proved he's a nut. These "If that were my daughter...." rants are pathetic.

I don't want to surprise you any more...but this doesn't just happen in Japan, hon. Try watching "FOX News Chicago."

"Insane is a legal term,"

Not even. Try "diminished capacity" which includes fatigue, illness, or developmental disability, even physical age.

Insane is really only used nowadays by people selling stereos and electronics on TV, and JT posters.

Random tasing, as it were, is superior to random knifing, I guess.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Stun guns are available here. Different from a Tazer. Sounds like his idea of foreplay.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Random attacks of any kind on anyone are intolerable and the people who go round doing these acts need to be punished heavily!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Stun guns and tazers are available in Akihabara down the little passageways, along with cellphone blockers and the like. May not be openly on sale, but you can buy.

Doesn't a stun gun fire wires that get hooked into the skin and carry electricity from the weapon itself? Then how could the man press it into her side? Does the same term apply to the portable shocking devices that you can get easily around here?

Anyway, sick guy, but I agree at least the girl came out of it relatively unharmed. Had it been a knife attack it could have been a lot worse.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sorry, I meant that I agree IT'S GOOD that the young woman came out of it relatively unharmed.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How did he get access to that device ? He is a pervert, in my opinion. Perhaps more vigilante corps need to be established in residential communities, but that may not prevent this sort of thing from recurring.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm glad the woman is okay but next time a stranger asks her to stop, please keep riding. It appears Safety Japan is losing its edge on safety. Pity, eh.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm glad to hear the girl is ok, and thankfully not a victim of some darker fate. I never hear of guys like this doing this to someone strong enough to fight back -- an immutable truth about bullies (or worse...) preying on the weak or those perceived as such. As much as I agree with Kyushujoe's stance on the 'macho posturing', it almost makes me wish that just for once, one of these geniuses would pick on the wrong guy and end up getting their just desserts (sorry, Kyushujoe...you can call me out too if you want = )).

I was about to post the same response until I read that kyushujoeu beat me to the punch. Everyone seems to think that, similar to in comic books and action movies, having someone's loved one harmed or killed will make them into an unstoppable he-man action guy. The truth is, just because a man beats up on women and children does NOT automatically mean he can't also kick a full-grown man's behind as well. And simply being furious over having one of our loved ones wronged isn't enough to automatically give you some edge in armed or unarmed combat against someone who might simply be far more dangerous and better trained than you are in one way or another.

However, if this were the Marvel or DC Universe, having our parents, spouses, and/or children murdered would always result in us becoming someone of the same level of Batman or the Punisher heh.

I agree this guy needs to be caught and quickly, however it is unlikely until he re-offends. He most likely is an extremely dangerous pervert, who will become more confident with each attack, subsequently more violent! Makes my flesh crawl! Wish I could swear!!!

@Shaolin7

it almost makes me wish that just for once, one of these geniuses would pick on the wrong guy and end up getting their just desserts (sorry, Kyushujoe...you can call me out too if you want = )).

Not at all, Shaolin; that would be funny :)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He'll likely get a suspended bust. This is sad!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This guy needs to be arrested ASAP!! Then be hung from his HUEVOS!! I feel so sorry for this poor high school girl, only 100 meters from her own home?? The stupid police in Fukuoka need to get off their butts and catch this fool real soon!

Think about it kyushujoe. He has proven that he is a pathetic coward stunning a 15 year old girl? I understand that these are people voicing their concern....and given the situation with adrenaline pumped would most likely dispatch him.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A lot of people calling this guy a pervert, yet all he did was assault her with a weapon. Barring some other action on his part (and who knows? maybe the girl was too embarrassed to mention what ELSE he did), he's just a criminal with a weapon.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

May be it was not random but a message to the mother or father concerning something else. ('heavily built'...?)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Japan has a serious case of the "Crazies". Dispose of them before they multiply!! (smile)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@longterm

I agree with you when you said that it might have been something else

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm not sure about these days but up until a few years ago you could buy stun guns, switchblades, stilittoes, knuckle dusters, mace, etc. even at toy stores anywhere here. This guy could have gotten a stun gun easily.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's a damn disgrace the guy got away. If apprehended, let him have the same shake, see how he likes it?! His actions could later bring damaging results on the girl. Poor thing, she might have to deal with paranoia. Watch your back folks, never know what awaits around the corner...
