Police in Tama, Tokyo, are investigating the murder of a 25-year-old man who was stabbed to death in his condo on Saturday night.
At around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Kohei Fukuyoshi, a 25-year-old office employee, was found dead with more than 10 stab wounds to different parts of his body, including chest and stomach, on the fourth floor of a condo in Tama's Nagayama district, Fuji TV reported. The autopsy revealed that Fukuyoshi died from blood loss.
Police believe that the perpetrator fled scene with his clothes stained with Fukuyoshi's blood as there were multiple bloodstains on the floor of the condo's hallway.
A neighbor who lives in the apartment beside Fukuyoshi's told police he saw Fukuyoshi and a man scuffling in the hallway shortly before the crime. The man was described as being in his 20s and was wearing black at the time.

Seems like a lot of stabbings this past week. Could be my imagination. Usually we have to wait until it starts getting hot for that.

I just read this news in TokyoReporter this morning.
A neighbour who lives in the apartment beside Fukuyoshi saw a man scuffling in the hallway shortly before the crime. The man was described as being in his 20s & was wearing black at that time?
This was another painful murder & sad news for a young man!
Why & why, it happened on last Saturday again?!
My condolences to his family & friends.

That is now THREE murders reported on Saturday night. Was there a full moon?
Or is JT just accurately reporting the 2.5 MURDERS on average each day in Japan!!... ;-)

Sounds like the the perpetrator went berserk. Actually, a neighbor who had happened to meet up face-to-face with the suspect said to hold back wincingly and ended up trying to jump from the 4th floor of the condo to the roof of the next building and unluckily fell on the first floor getting severe injuries.

I agree. This past week or 2 has seen a strange rise in stabbings.

Well, it's seen a rise in reports of stabbings. Whether or not there has actually been a rise in stabbings is a different question.

He wrestled with a knife-wielding attacker. In another thread, people are telling us that that is a good idea...

No they're not.
