Trump space force - a real need but hazy planning

How does one take seriously anything that comes from the mind of Trump?

Probably Mattis knows what he's talking about. I'll take what he says seriously.

Until they have a craft that is refueled and maintained in space, or can launch to space and land all without the need of additional rockets, ie a true space craft. And until they have their own Space base staffed 24/7 every day of the year, with artificial gravity generated by spin, then the term "Space Force" is entirely debatable.
A typical Trump action of getting way ahead of himself and acting on poor advice to get a questionable result that will no doubt require billions of dollars that could be better spent on modern infrastructure for the US and its citizens.

We were supposed to have a fairly large space station with artificial gravity generated by spin by 2001, but somehow it hasn't happened. Most likely due to too many wars during the last 50 years.
