It's only been 28 since the end of communism in Russia. But even worth Japan and Russia being adjacent countries, it feels very far away for most Japanese.

Typical.... Russian Postal Authorities totally screwing the average Russian and an obscure Japanese "Trading House" benefiting too. Sure would be nice if people and companies in Russia could import directly. No one makes money in Russia without someone's permission and that person getting a piece of the pie too.

That's pretty much the story here in JP, too. Perhaps, not to the same extent. But there are definitely a multiverse of measures in place to protect Japan Inc. and their partners.

You’d think that some products would have found its way over in the last 40 years. I have a friend who does just that, he exports trucks loaded with J goods to Russia, sells the goods and the trucks
