Happy Birthday to her Majesty! She looks great for her age!

Not really a royalist but Meghan and Harry look great. It's time the old farts moved over for the younger generation, Charles included.

Elizabeth is by far the most popular and respected of the royals. The popularity of this pantomime will sink after she’s gone.

That made me laugh so hard. Thanks for that!!

I enjoyed Tom Jones's bhangra version of It's Not Unusual. I wonder if Brenda enjoyed Shaggy doing Mr Bombastic? She liked the George Formby tribute.

Jimizo - I don't think it will. I don't have high expectations of Charles but the generation after him (William and Harry and their wife/fiance) are extremely highly regarded and popular.

You are so mistaken its surreal.

Never heard of Prince Charles? Right side, blue suit.

He will surround himself with the younger generation to buffer his popularity.

The royal family is going nowhere. Nobody in the U.K wants the U.K to be solely represented by its dysfunctional political elite. And they certainly don't want any sort of fake presidency.

Charles isn’t an endearing character. He also has a very nasty habit of using his position to influence elected politicians - something his mother had the good sense to avoid. He certainly doesn’t command anything like the respect or affection given to his mother who seems to be a decent sort.

As for the new, pleb-friendly, riff-raff-marrying, pot-smoking, punch-ups-in-nightclubs, footy-liking grandkids, they hardly have gravitas. This is a trash soap opera meets Disney.

I just can’t see it carrying the same weight.

You were obviously not at Queen Elizabeth 2's 90th birthday celebrations 2 years ago.

The Royal Family holds together the last fragment of what being British is... without them, there would be no need for Unity, and I suspect the UK would turn towards Islam and it's own Laws. The end result would be chaos across the former British Isles... resulting in a self-imploding Society, and eventually being mocked by the remainder of the former Commonwealth States.
