Although there are no comments here yet, may I just register my sadness and sorrow?
Without blaming anyone, except humanity as a whole for repeatedly sailing into such hellish whirlpools and then wondering how to get out, I would like to appeal to all parties to take a deep breath, pause for a moment, and see everyone there as human beings.
And ask, have we learned absolutely NOTHING after thousands of years of wars?

Incendiary bombs, which are indiscriminate in starting fires, being dropped by Assad forces
(Like the US dropping firebombs on Japanese population in WW2)

The Syrian Army organized safe exits for the civilian population of Eastern Ghouta, but the terrorebels wouldn't allow the civilians to leave because they want them as human shield and as propaganda tool for use in friendly Western media. Exactly the same trick as in Aleppo. And very interesting to note that Western politicians and MSM, almost deaf and blind to civilians' sufferings in Mosul and Raqqa, are very noisy again. Very choosey compassion.
Can you provide a link? Incendiary bombs in modern city are not very effective ordnance. Americans used them because they were deadly in wooden Japanese cities.

Asakaze, perhaps lostrune2 means phosphorus munitions like those that Israel fired at Gaza?

nandakandamanda, I'm not sure Syrians have any phosphorus munitions. Let's wait, may be lostrune2 knows something we don't know.

I did post this link on the more recent thread.

nandakandamanda, lostrune2, thanks for the link. Technically we have several seconds of footage, place and time of the attack not confirmed, massive fires - the purported aim of the bombardment - not observed. But anyway thanks, I'll look further.
