The President claims defeating ISIS as one of his achievements.
On the ground, it was Kurdish troops with American and Canadian "advisors" that did the bulk of the fighting.
The world will be watching to see how (or if) the US protects its newest BFF.
Without help, it will be much harder to recruit "allies" in the future. If "America First" is seen to mean "you're on your own, buddy" once American goals are met, it will likely be the US that is on its own in the future.
Same in Afghanistan.
