One, I sincerely hope that this gets dealt with by people with cooler heads.

Trump joined European leaders in pushing Saudi Arabia for more answers

And Americans who believe in honesty and political transparency continue to push for Trump to release his most current tax info to see from where all he and his family are getting their money.

Saudi? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/10/16/whether-trump-has-financial-interests-saudi-arabia-he-has-plenty-with-country/?utm_term=.21d9a1a7dcc3

Russia? https://www.vox.com/world/2018/9/12/17764132/trump-russia-business-ties-mafia-putin-craig-unger

China? Turkey? Israel? Among others.

But it could be the Trump family's highly paid armies of lawyers and accountants have found ways to hide their info. Slimy businessman, slimier politician

@burninush End weapons sales and implement full sanctions.

I agree. No doubt Russia should sanction Saudi, too.

Stop wars for oil and gas. Stop making the world's war industries richer.

White House officials said on Sunday that Trump has not changed his belief that the crown prince is a strong leader who is passionate about his country. They said he and his advisers want to see the results of both the Turkish and Saudi probes.

Bring a strong leader that loves his country is not mutually exclusive with ordering a journalist tortured and dismembered. This administration is full of, and supported by imbeciles.

MBS is essentially telling the US Congress

“I have no no control over my country.

I can’t guarantee that a 15-man hit squad won’t fly planes into your skyscrapers again.

Safest thing to do is to keep weapons out of the hands of my rouge, despotic, theocratic state”.

The same could be said for Hitler but......

15 seems to be the magic number for the terror-supporting Saudis. 15 guys on September 11, 2001 and 15 guys to kill a reporter.

It wont be long until comservstibes are on this thread parroting verbatim the Fox "News" talking point of Trump "walking a fine line." But, yeah, it's liberals that are a collective. Smh. Har!

Those responsible will be held accountable for this

Nothing beheadings of men following orders wouldn’t clear up, eh?

First they say it didn’t happen, next they say it was an accident. Where is the body? In a fist fight you don’t get tortured and cut to pieces. Tomorrow Erogon said he might release the smart iwatch recording.

i can’t understand why they did this in the embassy as if it was done on the street, just blame street mugging. Unless they are trying to maximize publicity to scare any other dissidents?

It's great to see that the Prince MBS himself is going to oversee the investigation.  Always good to have a neutral in the drivers seat.

There was international pressure brought to bear on the Saudi government to solve this incident. International pressure.

Three European powers - Germany, Britain and France - pressed Riyadh to provide facts, and Chancellor Angela Merkel said Germany would not export arms to Saudi Arabia while uncertainty over Khashoggi's fate persisted.

...."Nothing can justify this killing and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms," Germany, Britain and France said in their joint statement.

And yet there are people who keep trying to blame the U.S., Republicans, conservatives, and Fox News for a murder committed by Saudis in Turkey. Given the facts, it's a political tale that simply isn't very convincing.

Yes, and this doesn't change the fact that Trump and his followers parrot verbatim Fox "News'" talking points regarding "walking a fine line." Thanks for the irrelevant response though.

This statement has no basis in reality.

Yea, mistake...killing the guy then cutting him up and getting rid of the evidence... yea grave mistake sums it all up:-/

We'll see how their constantly evolving story changes again when Turkey is expected to issue a report.

If one doesn't come clean from the start, all trust is lost. Several members of Trump's team are learning that now. Two questions remain: locating the body, how to deal with a rogue government.

"King Salman ordered the dismissal of five officials, including Saud al-Qahtani, a royal court adviser seen as the right-hand man to Prince Mohammed"

Need to go up one higher, King.

"Prince MBS"

Mr. B.one S.aw?

This won’t go anywhere, this will be business as usual as bad as it is, the Saudis for good or bad aren’t going anywhere and we won’t be cutting the relationship anytime soon. Let’s see what happens, but I’m not holding my breath.

"They made the mistake when they killed Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate and they tried to cover up for it."

So they should have killed him somewhere else? Human life doesn't seem worth much in the middle east.

The people responsible need to be in jail, for life.

This was govt sponsored targeted killing in a foreign state whether the king or prince knew, doesn't matter.

Because "the west" needs the Saudi's for middle eastern anti-terror operations, nothing more will happen beyond the people involved being jailed.

Thanks to the Turks for following up or this would never have come to light.

And we shouldn't forget that this was because a man wanted to get married. I feel for her as well. Her life plans have been ripped away.

Chip Star - This statement has no basis in reality.

This is an international incident between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The U.S.'s FBI can not arbitrarily cross international borders to investigate a crime, or even an alleged crime, without being requested by the host nation.

Watching the usual suspects blame the U.S., or Republicans, or Trump for the actions of Saudis committed in Turkey has no basis in reality. It's just political posturing.

Nobody is blaming Trump, the US, or Republicans for the actions of Saudi Arabia. You're arguing with the imaginary liberal you've made up.
