Trump had a few other things to say this morning:

“I own a property in Florida.”

“I don’t need promotion. I don’t need promotion.”

“It would have been the best G-7 ever.”

“You people with this phony Emoluments Clause.” (!)

“If you’re rich, it doesn’t matter.”

The last two lines sum up Trump pretty well.  I'm rich, the law (or the Constitution) does not apply to me.

the Democrats are trying to hurt the Republican Party before the election

Trump, everything you did, you did to yourself. Stop being such a corrupt loser and none of this would happen.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

The Republicans will likely follow his words. An impeachment is bad for republicans, as it will force them to either give him a pass on corruption, or stand up to him. That’s a rock and a hard place. Better for them if the impeachment doesn’t happen.

Too bad this wasn’t a clear cut case of corruption like some oral lovin’ in the White House. It would be so much easier if this was real corruption like that.

President Donald Trump on Monday exhorted fellow Republicans to get tougher and fight for him, saying the Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives wants to impeach him "as quick as possible" over his request that Ukraine investigate a domestic political rival.

How ironic, taking a clue from Abe here and urging his party to back him up, even when he kicks them to the curb at his convenience!

Better for them if the impeachment doesn’t happen.

Better for the world that it does happen! While the odds are slim that he will be removed from office. No sitting US president has been removed from office through an impeachment.

Nixon resigned first, otherwise he would have more than likely been the first, and the other 2 that were impeached, remained in office after the impeachment trial concluded. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.

I dont see Trump being removed from office, but I do predict he will be impeached!

More fake news supporting the fake impeachment meanwhile the head of the DNC Hillary has gone mad declaring two, yes two Dem Presidential candidates of being groomed by Russia. Where’s THAT story?

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Trump said the Democrats are "vicious and they stick together."

"They don't have Mitt Romney in their midst. They don't have people like that. They stick together," Trump added.

He must be wishing he'd run as a Democrat.

Hillary has gone mad declaring two, yes two Dem Presidential candidates of being groomed by Russia. Where’s THAT story?

Who cares. She's not President and she's not running for President.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Pierre Delecto should just run for President as an independent. He is an ungrateful manipulative drama creator.

Oh yeah, I had a typo in my last post. Instead of this:

Except for the ....

It should have been:

Except for the ones Pierre Delecto is responsible for. Which is all of them.

Enough about the Ukrainian phone call -- I want to see the transcript of the trump/Erdogan call.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

so yeah I am in .. America and well ---

I want to apologize to the world -

Most of us voted against this idiot --

Heh, you guys go on and on about how you think we're bitter because Hillary didn't win the election, ignoring that none of us care about her anymore, then ask why... um, "someone" is not reporting on Hillary, ignoring the fact that none of us care about her anymore.

You guys are the ones who keep going on about her. The rest of us would be fine if she just shut up and went away, and were ok with it when she did just that.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Lol, Republicans are scared of their own worthless shadows.

If you need proof of what Trump has done to the USA reputation read this opening from the Guardian (it's not fake news):

Pelted with fruit and hounded by insults, the American military’s exit from Syria was very different from its time on the ground. The remnants of the US presence in the north-east of the country made an ignominious departure on Monday, driving through towns that had welcomed them for the past four years.

The regional capital of Qamishli, a hub of cooperation between US officers and Kurdish officials throughout the war against Islamic State, was among the least hospitable spots on the road out. As US battle trucks, sporting large American flags, made their way through town and headed towards Iraq, groups of locals threw rotting fruit and vegetables at them, cursing soldiers that only two weeks ago many in the region had considered to be their protectors.

And just to rub salt into the wounds they (the US) left some troops behind to guard the oil fields.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

No, what about the Russian asset actively running for President as a Democrat. That’s the story.

Yeah! Whaddabout conspiracy theories!

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Look, we have two realities going on here. One is the potential impeachment being run by Democrats with the support of law and the rules of government. They have subpoena powers, investigative powers, lots of powers.

The other side is Trumpland with the President's personal lawyer, currently under investigation, working with a couple of indicted crooks to dig up dirt (for months and months and months) on the Bidens, with zero results, which doesn't matter anyway because last I checked Rudy can't arrest anyone.

Which story should the media report on? The one backed by the rule or law or the made up one with no evidence from people either indicted or under investigation? Trump fans really, really need to understand the difference between an investigation run by the law and one run by Fox News. Stay in your bubble if you want coverage of your nutjob theories.

Trump's far worse than Nixon. At least Nixon wasn't committing treason and caving in to dictators.

We need to find out what the hell Trump has been talking about in secret with Putin. It's highly possible that it's far, far worse than we think, and that's pretty damn scary.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

OMG the Democrats are so pathetic. They're not even going to bring up impeachment for a vote because they don't have the votes.

stormcrow: We need to find out what the hell Trump has been talking about in secret with Putin.

A president's private conversations with foreign leaders are supposed to remain just that - private. of course we know that after his re-election he was "more flexible" thanks to that hot mic.

You wouldn't want people to be able to hear what Obama said to Putin in private, would you?

in secret with Putin

Russia Russia Russia!

Thats’s like saying Kennedy was far worse than Clinton....

We need to find out what the hell Trump has been talking about in secret with Putin.

Mueller, 19 angry Democrat Hillary supporting donor lawyers, 40 FBI agents, 1500 subpoenas and 1500 witnesses that testified all over a 3 year period found there was nothing.

It's highly possible that it's far, far worse than we think

According to the final Mueller report, it’s not.

@Serrano

Yes, especially if treason is at the bottom of it. Usually after such high level meetings between American presidents and world leaders, there are transcripts, records and notes taken by translators. In Trump's case, he grabbed all of these notes. Trump is too stupid to trust in dealing with these people by himself. He's not that smart. He's greedy and he's a shark and he has no scruples, I'll give him that, but to be trusted without being watched is crazy.

Today's Republican Party is not the same one my grandparents knew.

@bass4funk

Well, you've come full circle, haven't you? I remember you on here being so upset with Trump talking about how awful it was for Trump to believe Putin over America's own intelligence agencies, and now everything is just honky-dory again. Not me, I'm still disgusted by Trump's admission on the world's stage that he trusted the Russians over our own intelligence officers. This ridiculous statement Trump made still haunts me, and that is why we have to know what the hell he talked about with Putin. At this point, it's hard to decide which one to trust more . . . Putin or Trump.

I definitely trust Trump on this more than Putin.

Over three years? You're not even letting it cool down before you start trying to re-write it:

Mueller's Investigation Lasted 674 Days. Here's How That Compares to Other Probes

3x365 = 674?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

@bass4funk "I definitely trust Trump on this more than Putin."

As for myself, I trust U.S. intelligence agencies more than Putin, but Trump trusts Putin more than U.S. intelligence agencies, he said so himself in front of the world. How can you trust Trump?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a video and "fact sheet" that may give hints about articles of impeachment - formal charges - Democrats may pursue against Republican Trump, accusing him of abuse of power, a "shakedown" involving Ukraine and a cover-up.

Baseless accusations. There's no evidence to back them up. The phone call to Ukraine's president is now a matter of public record. Russia didn't work, so the Democrats have switched to Ukraine, which, by the way, is not helping Biden's campaign at all.

Trump is now defending Tulsi Gabbard and Jill Stein from HRC's incredulous accusations of them being Russian assets.

There's no evidence to back it up other than the evidence that is now a matter of public record.

Um... yeah...

up. The phone call to Ukraine's president is now a matter of public record.

No, it's not. We haven't seen or heard the full call. Donny's not yet released it, just a summary.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Trump fans have reached the point where they don't even defend him anymore. They know he is corrupt and they shrug.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

@Serrano

Russia didn't work, so the Democrats have switched to Ukraine.

Exactly. This will end up the same. A massive nothing burger. Meanwhile the President's base will be mobilised, swing voters will become even more turned off the DC swamp and Trump will laugh all the way to 2020 and beyond.

Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot.

Well that debate is whether to do what’s ethical or what’s politically expedient. They are shooting themselves in the foot in regards to the latter, but that’s because they are prioritizing the former.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Even some Repubs are deserting this evil Macbeth.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Always thought Trumps Bigness and Bravado is what has propelled him and kept him afloat - well just!

Now for perhaps the first time I see him appear scared - running chicken if you like.

Sure the cover is still there but the way he's pleading for help like he never has before, is a real shift.

The squawking and cock-a-doodle-doing will only increase in intensity and frequency and feathers will surely fly.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Lets see how far it will go... poor leftist and communists are going to cry in the end. Trump is becoming a politician now.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Ah so the but ”we are morally superior” excuse being readied for the Inevitable election loss.

as Dems are saying “gotta impeach him or he will get re-elected”.

They are shooting themselves in the foot in regards to the latter, but that’s because they are prioritizing the former.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Um... yeah...

Um, yeah, Strangerland - ya'll got nothin' as usual.

impeachment inquiry

The Democrats want Trump out because he is exposing them for what they truly are - enemies of the people.

They know they don't have a candidate who can beat him in 2020, hence this disgraceful attempt to remove him from office.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

The Democrats want Trump out because he is exposing them for what they truly are - enemies of the people.

Ummm, elected by the people by the way.  Because you have a different view does not make you an "enemy" of the people.  Because you may believe that a corrupt government is wrong does not make you an "enemy" of the people.  Because you do not support a man who lies each time he opens his mouth does not make you an "enemy" of the people.  Because you believe in a free press does not make you an "enemy" of the people.  If you oppose all this principals then yes, you may be an "enemy" of the people.

If you support an corrupt administration then yes, you may be an "enemy" of the people.  Because Americans did note vote by a large majority for a corrupt administration.  That may be the "enemy" of the people.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Ah so the but ”we are morally superior” excuse being readied for the Inevitable election loss.

Inevitable? That help you sleep?

as Dems are saying “gotta impeach him or he will get re-elected”.

Incorrect. We have to impeach him to expose his corruption and force senate republicans to go on record as supporting If of opposing it. I've already explained this to you.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

They know they don't have a candidate who can beat him in 2020, hence this disgraceful attempt to remove him from office.

First of all, Trump has less support than any of the Democratic frontrunners. Secondly, Democrats took a political risk by starting an impeachment inquiry. They know that the Republican Senate will never remove Trump from office.

Democrats know that doing the right thing is better in the long run. Trump supporters can't project past the end of one of their cult leader's tweets.

19 angry Democrat Hillary supporting donor lawyers,

Total misrepresentation of fact. But don't let that stop you.
