The US were the ones who claimed WMDs in Iraq. The UN inspectors were clear they weren't finding anything to support the US claims (which we now know is because America lied). The US declared that Saddam must be lying because they "knew" he had WMDs, and they chose to invade Iraq, a sovereign nation, without UN backing.

The UN never claimed that Iraq possessed WMDs in the run-up to the 2003 invasion.

The UN said Iraq didn't possess nuclear weapons. No more than that. The acronym "WMD" applies to more than nuclear weapons. WMD includes nuclear, biological, chemical weapons and radiological weapons. The Iraqis were well known to produce (with west German technical assistance, the so-called "Uday's Germans") chemical weapons and to have used them against Iranian forces in combat and later after the west turned a blind eye to their use against the Iranians, the Iraqis used them against the Kurds. Iraq's top nuclear scientists Khidir Hamza had defected to the US in 1996 and his accounts of Iraq's nuclear program, which you can read in his book "Saddam's Bombmaker" probably fed US fears.

Care to back that claim with some facts? Aside from what the Turks have been doing to the Kurds, what is all this genocide going on among the western allies? Or maybe YOUR allies are the Russians?

How about the persecution and discrimination of Muslim Minorities in India?

Mr Kipling I suggest you read the reports on the BBC on what is going on there and if that is not enough suggest you look at the China tribunal statement to the UN and their final report. On the genocide, organ harvesting (while still alive and not always under anaesthetic ) forced Labour, rape and forced marriage to Han Chinese to destroy their cultural and ethnic identity, I could go on.

Will the Western companies and brands like Apple, Nike and NBA follow suit? Or just expand operations into the void left by the Japanese firms?

When buying things in the time of pandemic on line it is hard to tell if the goods are made in China or not (I have been caught out to my absolute fury) perhaps it is time internet sellers were required to specify if the product or any part or component was made in China so each person can decide if they are someone who would support genocide or not.

I can only applauded any company that stops doing business with China under the CCP.

Doesn't justify putting millions in concentration camps, raping women detainees, forcing them to have abortions.

 China has invested billions in infrastructure in Uyghur areas to improve the lives of the people. 

I am sure the Uyghurs are not thankful for the billions invested in building prisons.

However, despite Hanwgha Q Cell's wise choice, it occured to me that we should be hearing a much louder voice from South Korea on the issue of China's Forced Labor, instead of how a South Korean company can take advantage of the suituation.

I but nothing made in China. Nothing. I will not do business around Beijing 2022 or any other business or representation for Chinese teams, federations or individuals.

As many foreign companies rely on self-reporting of the human rights situation by the firms themselves, they are faced with the challenge of grasping the situation beyond direct business partners.

The Chinese Communist Party is the ultimate controller of all business being done in China.

Do business with Chinese companies and there is no way that the oppressive regime does not benefit!

Not doing business with China is therefore the only moral option to consider.
