There is an increasing number of places in Japan that sell lots of different beers: there's no need to suffer the corn and rice-ridden slop any longer.

‘Every bar, izakaya, pub in Japan sells one beer: Asahi, Kieran, Sapporo, Premium Malts’

More beer that Koreans can't drink? Good thinking Japan. Buy them all!!

It is being acquired by Asahi Group Holdings, not Asahi Holdings. Big difference.

Lets hope the price of Asahi beers come down in price.

I can buy just about Japanese beer in America, a long with hundreds of others. I'm not talking about a special 'high cost' import store. I'm talking about 'EVERYWHERE'. If Americans truly new how Japan has 'zero' competition, I confident that they would demand massive tariffs on all thier products. The American Military Establishment has produced a political situation of compensating the Japanese 'elite' with unfair market advantages so they support occupation. The people of Japan suffer with extremely high prices. Average cost of a quality Micro Beer in California is USD 5.99-7.99, for Six bottles. Budweiser (a crappy US beer) is 2.99 a six pack. Crazy... how Japan limits competition and rips off it's people.
