Hey, newsflash to US pharmaceutical companies ....the J govt is supposed to be elected to look after the interests of J citizens not your profit lines.

Whilst LDP is famous for looking after its corporate buddies over its citizens most of time, i sincerely hope that this being election season they tell you politely where to go.

Why should Japanese patients and taxpayers pay 2- 3 times the price than other countries for the same drugs?

Big Pharma ought to sent packing. We do not need America's exorbitantly high medical cost to come to Japan. As marcelito above says, we residents of Japan come first, not Big Parma's profits. Anyone want to argue about that?

I trust the US pharma industry about as far as I can throw them.

They could start by banning doctors from prescribing medicine that people can buy over the counter. Then maybe limit non critical patent visits to twice a month instead of the standard every five days.

Oh and, screw the global drug companies and their overpriced drugs. More countries need to set the prices like Japan does.
