Exports shrinking, internal economy going nowhere after the tax increase - regardless if the Japanese like all the foreign tourists travelling to Japan in such great numbers its probably whats keeping the economy dropping even further ……….or those many stimulus.

Exports down 7.9%...Imports down 15.7%.

Net result : Balance of Trade improved.

Plus buried in the story-

Japan's economy grew at a much faster pace than initially reported in the third quarter

Things are ticking along nicely. But the usual Japan-bashers and PM Abe-haters will still try to put a negative spin on things.

Kind of surprised there is no mention of the "zero" exports of beer to Korea!
