a source of concern for the world's third-largest economy as it tries to prop up growth.

I still don't get this statement, and it's been written on this site many times. How is Japan STILL the world's largest economy?

"The trade balance came to a surplus of 217.4 billion yen ($2 billion),"

In other words, Japan got richer. Not bad.

Printing so much money only eases if you also widely distribute it afterwards...lol Big companies get everything, but their bosses and shareholders already have everything. They don’t need a 32nd Ferrari or the 78th yacht. And the big rest , their employees and the whole rest of the population get nothing. That’s why nobody can order or buy something and then there’s also less need for production , imports, and exports. What came over during that first pandemic year? In the best scenario, a mask and 100,000yen. In the best case, not for everyone... That’s not even two months of an apartment rent in the metropolitan areas. As the economies are connected, it surely isn’t much better in the U.S. or China. Billions are only hoarded on the very top of the pyramid and then the whole structure sinks into the sands.
