Edges? Think it's been edging for quit a few years, but never actually getting there. But as its my premium Friday it makes absolutely no difference to my life.....as does most government decisions. Whatever they say are you better off?

We need Koizumis son or Koike to win, Junichiro Koizumi when in office always wanted to reduce the GST to increase consumer consumption, which is logical... Increasing taxes will also burden our economy and make people spend less.. Where's the logic in that.. UK, etc all spend less and they have skyrocket taxes..

We need Koizumis son or Koike to win,

Koizumi Shinchiro still needs 3 or 4 years under PM Abe as his “apprentice” before he is handed the Prime Minister position around 2023. Koike and her party were thumped when she try to enter National politics.No hope.

Inflation is edging up toward the magical 2 %. This is a good sign for Abe Cabinet.

Japan, and particularly the LDP, needs to get away from this unhealthy family business approach to politics.

This arrogant, born to rule nonsense belongs in banana republics.

The BOJ is not the only one in a bind-buying up government bonds that nobody else wants!

Why is the minimum wage level set so low,?Why aren’t Japanese companies which are making massive profits not required to return more to their employees?

Why aren’t companies that force unpaid overtime on their staff not legally censured?

There is a vast miasma of indifference out there at alllevels leading to

stagnation and decline...

What is so good about this son of Koizumi that makes him suitable to be PM? Is it something genetic? In that case I suppose you think the other, unackowledged, son of Koizumi would be just as good as PM?

One wonders how long this charade will go on for.

@Ganbare Japan!

Koike and her party were thumped when she try to enter National politics.No hope.

Koike is controlled opposition. The sole purpose of her entering the race was to take votes away from the LDP's real opposition.
