The propaganda is really good at feeding it’s naive population.
How about the minimum wage? Working hours? Payed vacations and benefits?
But of course, these things are futile.

Japan is the place where part-time jobs or temporary jobs are considered full employment.
shogun36
Really? Not in my company.
It should be LOW paying job availability up, full time salary position unemployment grows.
Kiwikid
66.94 million people in employment.
74.55 million working age (18-64) people.
Forgetting most people work after 64 here, meaning the working population I much higher, any other country would report that as 11 percent unemployment. That's 11 percent of the working population without a job.
Of those 66.94 million people with a job roughly 38 percent are in non-regular employment. That's 26 million people without stable jobs.
Why fudge the numbers to make the country look good while ignoring problems that need to be fixed?

That’s of no value , such propaganda statements. What jobs are available, in what branches, do they have a future, are they paid and if yes, how much of them below, at , or above average. What people can get those jobs. Can they live from them, found a family, grow children , make university studies in future fields? Sorry, but I just don’t believe that bs. and surely know all answers already in advance. lol

To discouraging to read all this propaganda.
it is so unnecessary, immature and sad. We all love Japan and the good things here , there is no need to hide problems that do exist but a strong need to identify and tackle them. That would make us all proud instead of ashamed

This is like Trump trumpeting his "lowest unemployment numbers" pre -pandemic.
You have a large cohort leaving the workforce and a torrent of gig, contract, seasonal workers signing up .
As in the US the numbers have become a tool for politco-economic propaganda.
Right....
Yubaru
Which I guess leaves you out. The truly "educated" know it's just like an infomercial put out by the propaganda ministry here, to keep the people in line.
It's like drinking non-alcoholic beer, even though you know there is no alcohol in the drink, you still get drunk, because all the advertising tells you it's beer! You are brainwashed into thinking otherwise!
Yubaru
And the place where people who aren't looking for work are not counted in the "unemployed" numbers either.
Oh and to clarify "part-time" also means gainfully employed, even if it's only 1 hour per week!

I've been checking several key industries and specific businesses across regions. The sign of recovery is observed where things, not people, move to and fro. For instance, delivery services are growing.
It's half true. In Japan many non-regular employees/freelancers are ensured much less with supports (salary, benefits, etc.) and socially stigmatized if not discriminated. In the latter case for example, non-regulars tend to be denied mortgage by bank, a room by landowner and marriage (!) by partner (or family)
Yubaru
You actually answered your own question here!

Where are the jobs?
bass4funk
Definitely not in Fukuoka....sheeeeesh!
Spitfire
My daughter has just finished her junior year at Waseda and only she from her faculty has received any job offers so far.
Spitfire
@kokontozai,
I think the real situation is like the others have said:
There aren't many real job offers for real jobs for real students but there are tons of non-regular or part-time jobs available for students who have dillied and dallied during their important years.
I thank my daughter much for appreciating my endeavours and not wasting her college years and my wife's as well.

One mask completely down, and three others showing noses. I hope they fix those glitches before going for an interview.

I think you are right. Maybe, there are many cheap jobs which are unfavorable. Therefore, many people may feel strange. (+difference of statistics)
Zoroto
Whether you believe the statistics or not is dependent on you in the QAnon world. Even sincere NY hid the death toll of the Coivid-19. Regarding mass media, it is true that many people around the world no longer trust them so much. (Recently I read an article many Republican supporters don't trust mass media so much.)

Japan is cooking the books, make the economy look strong, feed the people the news they want to hear so that they can come out and support the Olympics. I won't be surprised to hear more of this great negative false hopes crap in the weeks to come. Soon they will be rushing in the spirit of the games to get people excited. Shocking vibes with entertainers actress and actors saying come out and cheer on Nippon!!!

What do you mean?

Japan so give the thumbs up to,OK then? The economist must be discussed much in detail needed!!
Still the capital Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa and Chiba, these three adjacent regions with Tokyo would be left it on 8 March as the programmed schedule ? Keeping mum and maintain irresolutely for PM Suga response even for now. Depending on this judgement , also employment figure exactly changing .

As our sticking point, the capital Tokyo
and the three adjacent regions with Tokyo as follows , Saitama , Kanagawa and Chiba would be left as the programmed schedule on 8 March ?
Depending on this judgement , the employment figure exactly changing .
But PM Suga keeps mum and maintain irresolutely ever different from the six region left.

After announcement of employment data, I always read the similar comments here and kind persons sometimes explain the difference of statistics between Japan and US.

According to today's Nikkei Shinbun, job offer rate of university students (大学生内定率) for 2022 is the highest in 6 years.

Japan is actually faring relatively well economically during the pandemic, according to quite a few analysts around the world. Global investors love Japan these days.
Katsukyun
People who deny these numbers are no different from stupid American creationists
HimariYamada
"who can believe to these numbers?"
Well educated people who know how to think.
