Japan suspends imports of heat-treated pork from China after African Swine Fever outbreak

Most of the food from China that is imported by distributors goes to restaurants. Whilst supermarkets are required by law to state the origin of foods on their labels, restaurants are not required to do so. How many people would eat at a restaurant if they knew the food they were using in their cooking was imported from China? Isn't it time the law was extended to restaurants too?

The Chinese always make a mess of the food supply chain. They have also no scruples with poisoning their compatriots :)

Why are we still importing food et such from China when they have always had food safety issues since forever. Let them fix their safety and quality first and then reconsider importing. (Of course I know the answer, cheap. But still).
