Probably they weren't making much money on the dirty coal plants. Looking to reduce spending with fallen profits.

Mizuho has stated in its new policy that "We will actively work on responding to climate change for the transition to a carbon-free society," but if that is the case, financing for a new coal-fired power generation business Along with the policy to stop it, you should set up a policy to withdraw from investment (loans, underwriting and holding of stocks and bonds) to companies that are highly dependent on coal thermal power generation and coal mining.
