Japan’s No. 2 automaker is considering nominating Sakakibara, a former head of powerful business lobby Japan Business Federation, to become an external director at the general shareholders’ meeting in June, the source, who has direct knowledge of the matter, told Reuters.

And there you go! Yet one more indication that this was about Japan Inc. circling the wagons and expelling the foreigner from a position of power in a major Japanese manufacturer!

It was a hit job by Japan Inc., pure and simple!!!

We Toray used to be in many kind of business, I guess that Nissan wants a Japanese which may be really the end. No matter how powerful, it is time that Japanese business understand that the future is not in the favour of Japanese old hands no matter, how powerful the connections. Japanese must see that their world had not improved since the economic bust of the 1990.
