The Brexit referendum was built on lies and misinformation

Err, no it wasn't. I read and (gasp!) understood all the information presented by both sides. I then voted all by myself (gasp!) and without any coercion, for the UK to leave the EU. Best decision we ever made.

blue, the TTP is just a trade grouping, the EU morphed in to a super-National unelected government, something the British people were never asked if they wished to be part of, when given that choice they voted no.

The UK trades all around the globe already, and has done for centuries, joining the TTP will make that easier and mutually beneficial. The more so as it is seen as an area of increasing economic relevance unlike the EU which is declining in economic relevance (look up the figures if you don’t believe me), not that we won’t continue to trade with Europe and even the EU despite the EU elites petty political tantrums.

Have the British Isles suddenly moved into the Pacific region? Amazing.

GB is in Europe. Join the EU trade partnership.

Because they are such a vital member of the Pacific "community"

UK leaving E.U. was a mistake. Europe will be weaker, but I do see an opportunity to be gain for UK, Japan, Quad Alliance, democratic countries working together to keep the peace.

If you don't want to see a conflict in Asia, we need a more credible deterrent, stronger deterrent against rising powers who might have an itch to prove something, try to gain land at a huge cost.

America alone is no longer a strong enough deterrent anymore, not in 2021. Not after how you handle your issues.

Tough times ahead for the UK under Boris Johnson. The country seems to be so desperate for trade deals with faraway countries rather than its neighbours. The Brexit referendum was built on lies and misinformation and now people in the UK are beginning to feel the effects. Shortage of truck drivers, supermarket staff, deliveries, etc...Even Britsish farmers who voted Brexit are complaining about the lack of government funds.

China, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand have also expressed interest in joining the free trade bloc.

Happy to let Taiwan, Thailand and even South Korea under our set rules. But keep China out, they will immediately try to take control.

The UK cant afford to ask for to much, it is a time of need for the UK after brexit so now is the time to get the best deal from the UK when they join.

Brexit has proven that Prime minister Blobby Johnson signs deals he doesn't even read. Beware, and be very aware if you are considering doing a deal with the UK right now.

The UK was a troublemaker from the start in the EU and has finally made its brexit. Now the good ship Britannica has apparently sailed the country into Asian waters.

Just say no.

The clapped out Brexit wreck, Britannia, sailing again as of yore into the troubled waters of Asia just spells more trouble for all parties. Any ship with the shifty Boris at the helm flying his "Jolly Johnson" is bound to bring an ill wind with it. Caveat emptor!

@RWN

The TPP is a trade pact not a military alliance. Da di da.

No problem, NATO defense in Afghanistan or elsewhere also isn’t or wasn’t so very much North Atlantic. Everyone makes the globe or atlas paging somehow fitting. lol

Agreed. The petulant child at a party who wants everything his way then drops a tanty when he doesn't.
