I always found Airbus to be a bit hot and stuffy.

We always study which model would be best suited to our needs.
That's not true. The main consideration is how big of a chunk Japanese suppliers get in building the aircraft. That's why the global market share for Boeing-Airbus is around 50/50 while in Japan it's 90/10.

JeffLee, absolutely true. JAL has no active Airbus planes in service, and ANA has 18 out of 192. Why? Because Japanese manufacturers like Mitsubishi build a lot of Boeing parts. Japan is looking for a free-trade agreement with Europe, and the EU should look at statistics like these and show Japan the door.

Flew an East China Airlines Airbus last year and it was freezing inside. Why did they keep the air conditioning so cold? Admittedly Shanghai was hot outside. The passengers were asking for blankets.

B777 is a good aircraft. Do not replace it. A-350 will not offer that much advantage with B777 OTHER THAN PRESSURING BOEING TO LOWER THEIR SELLING PRICE. But it it is really decided to buy A-350, a 70-30 percent (or 60-40) sharing is good enough to have leverage in price negotiation with either Boeing or Airbus company.
It is better to replace all variants of B737 with A321-Neo.
Boeing should still be dominant in sharing because of Japanese industries and jobs at stake..... UNLESS, Airbus model are more efficient by more than 30% such as fuel consumption and MTBF etc.

Yes, let's have higher prices. Then the costs will be handed to us passengers. We don't pay enough for our tickets as it is.
