Ineffective leaders in Hong Kong and Beijing caused the issues there.

Why is Lam still in office?

How many massive screw ups are required before she will step down, or better, be recalled to Beijing?

Taipei looks more and more interesting for investments.

I'm afraid they are right to be concerned. It could be a death blow. Hong Kong may have been able to whether either the protests or the virus, but both together could prove to be the end.
