There seems to be a lot of money available to corporations but not for the citizens who require funds now.

From rich to the rich.

Canada and the US are dumping subsidies on anyone with a heartbeat who claims they will build a battery plant. The US is likely to far outbid Canada and the Canadian subsidies will all go down the toilet.

A Democratic president is always bad for Canada.

What a waste of money. That money should be going to American companies, not Japanese or Korean ones.

why they make the factory in America hire nearly all Americans to run it, why should only American companies be allowed subsidies. from your ideology Apple shouldn't get any subsidies also since majority of their phones are made in China soon to be India

LG makes bad appliances

Not according to Consumer Reports. LG is the highest rated white appliance brand. Buying fridge, washer and drier? Shop LG.

There are no American battery makers.

That's not true. Deka brand is manufactured in Pennsylvania. They are the OEM battery in many US manufactured cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, plus some auto parts stores sell them as their house brand. There is another brand who's name escapes me for the moment (it is in one of my cars and I'm just too lazy to walk outside, lift the hood and look).

And, oh yeah, I guess you forgot the big Tesla/Panasonic "giga-factory" in Nevada that makes all the batteries for US built Teslas.
