Did I miss something, or are there no Japanese brands in the top ten? Does not bode well in a global econnomy. But not surprising since Japanese companies and agencies generally do not know how to build true brands.

Consumer electronics are sexy and make the news but can collapse at any given moment. I prefer companies which create content like Disney and companies which focus on industrial applications, chemicals, aerospace, or hard industrial businesses. Furthermore, I can't say I really like AT&T and Verizon being up there considering I had nothing but headaches dealing with these over sized, inept, poor attitude companies with the absolute worst customer service.

Out of the top 10, only China Mobile was there in #10 and the rest were US companies. The first Japanese company was Toyota at #28. Top 10 Asian companies only had Toyota, Docomo and Samsung with the rest all Chinese. In the top 100, China had 9 and Japan had 5; 3 car makers, Docomo and Sony. The top auto company was BMW; wonder if it's related to a study that found that BMW owners had more sex.
