China's move to relax COVID restrictions has raised hopes for an end to massive disruptions from lockdowns and other strict measures to prevent infections. But signs of sharply rising case numbers have raised uncertainty, with some alarmed over the possibility that the pandemic will continue to drag on the economy.

China was doing it all wrong according to the Western media, and many misinformed posters who lacked the medical substantiative facts to support their personal bias.

Yet according to global experts China had the lowest infection rate in the world. Australia and New Zealand on the other hand are still seeing skyrocketing numbers of cases while their economies suffer.

Trust Chinese data.

More than 232,000 people may have been infected in the first wave of Covid-19 in mainland China, four times the official figures, according to a study by Hong Kong researchers.

You calling the WHO "media" and people just repeating what they (as a global authority) misinformed is not an argument, the current situation clearly proves that the zero covid strategy was unsustainable and the CCP is making their citizens exposed to unnecessary risks for their failure to protect them using better strategies. For example like Sweden, that you have claimed did much better by avoiding the lockdowns.

Yet according to global experts China had the lowest infection rate in the world.

Not at all, according to the experts China is not reporting their infections and deaths, which increases the risk of uncontrollable outbreaks.

If you choose to ignore solid arguments that prove China is hiding their actual rates then you would also have to accept North Korea has much lower rates by doing the same thing.

More than 232,000 people may have been infected in the first wave of Covid-19 in mainland China, four times the official figures, according to a study by Hong Kong researchers.

And this is a very conservative conclusion, much more than four times would be still consistent with the limited data the CCP is letting be known.

What do you think ?

Of course they had the lowest amount of cases if they shut down entire cities at every new case. The point is that since most Chinese haven't been exposed to covid, once set free they will experience what every other country did 2 years ago, they have just delayed it.
