Farewell to another greed driven megalomaniac.

The guy has hypercharged materialism indulging any whim with anything from anywhere, sorted and picked by exploited, dehydrated workers - who don't dare take a toilet break - and stressed delivery drivers.
His latest move was to replace layers of middle management with AI to hire and fire the least protected workers in the US: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jul/05/amazon-worker-fired-app-dystopia?via=indexdotco

I don’t begrudge the man his success. His company is visionary and has vastly streamlined logistics.
I do begrudge how he treats his workers. It seems that there is a poor culture at Amazon and it seems it comes from the top.
I also begrudge his company’s tax “avoidance” strategies. You want all the services and protections of the Untied States government? Pay your dammed taxes.

Like the Facebook link rudely placed on JT, Amazon also attempts to grab the weak willed into its lair with discounted this and that!
I never bother with them…

Welcome to capitalism, may I take your order?
...also, inb4 an American mentions communism for some reason.

Tax dodging legacy and total disregard for workers rights..Shameful!

Its a bit childish to blame one man or one company. Most of us chose this type of future and paid for it.

Can't wait to see him leave Earth.

Amazon wiped out all the small bookstores and even towns of stores, dragged employment to worst than 3rd world conditions, and concentrated all that wealth to one person. It's the dystopian nightmare writ large

He has resided over a company that is leading to high-streets all over the world becoming ghost towns. Workers have to do mind numbing tasks for minimum recompense and they have to undergo unreasonable checks with their every move watched. To top that off, in the climate emergency we are all facing, he's off to space on a joy ride. And if all that wasn't enough, it is apparently OK that has more wealth than the average American store worker at an Amazon depot could make in about 14,000 years of slog. This apparently is lauded and the best humanity can do! Total rubbish, totally unjustifiable and totally unfair.

An enduring legacy as an exploiter and abuser of employees. Shameful man.

The internet and the companies on it offered so much because the politicians never saw them coming.
Now the Empire is striking back, and politicians will spend the next few years regulating, banning, taxing and region blocking the life out of the net, at our expense.
We should pause and take a moment to remember how revolutionary the net was, and how many things it empowered us to do, before we have to watch as politicians ruin it forever.
