I'm not American, so what's a "Black franchise"? The owner is Black? 51% of the employees are black?

To Alastair Pike:

What's the point of capitalizing Black and putting white in small caps? I can see your agenda with this article.

Hopefully they can get to the bottom of this and the franchisees can get what they're due.

It has yet to be decided if they're due anything.

JT poster 'timeon' has raised a valid point: What is a "Black" franchise?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Matter of time.  Systemic racism in everything.  Even companies like MacDonalds which are trying to be as woke as they can get affected and accused.  Once you open the racism bottle it will lead to all sorts of unexpected outcomes, many not particularly helpful or moral.

Black franchisees, not Black franchise.

Franchisee is a person or entity owning the franchise.

Good.

Let the haters show their true colors.

I hope they win their case.

accuses the restaurant chain of steering Black franchisees to poor locations

“steering” is the key word here. If you’re gonna invest a million bucks down payment into a business, and you get “steered”, then maybe you shouldn’t play.

In other news, revenue for stories with allegations of racism is increasing.

Nah, the only mistake they made was getting suckered into owning a franchise.

If you look at the statistics your gonna notice that black or white or wathever color you feel like being that day MCD's will screw everyone.
