A majority of those surveyed by NABE approved of December's corporate tax reductions but only a small share favored the changes for individuals, which Democrats have criticized as unduly favorable to the wealthy.

More than 80 percent believed current fiscal policy would expand the budget deficit as a share of GDP, and agreed Congress should work to reduce it.

Large majorities also favored fighting climate change and combating income inequality but were split on how to achieve the latter goal, according to the report.

According to the latest NABE survey, 60 percent of respondents believed economic policy should do more to combat climate change.

In addition, 74 percent said economic policy should do more to combat income inequality but respondents were divided on the best means of doing this: 47 percent supported more education to improve worker productivity, while 33 percent favored more progressive taxation.

Melanie: 'Did you see the NABE Survey?'

Donny: '.....'

Donny: '.. the NABE is fake, those respondents are faked and climate change is a hoax..'

The U.S will sort out its issues with its allies and trade partners like Canada, Mexico, Japan, E.U etc in time. I suspect by the end of this year that will all be sorted out and if the Democrats sweep the mid-terms, that is even more likely as they will push for it.

The political capital does not exist in Washington to punish those countries. Its not warranted and its self defeating. As a temporary tactic, maybe it has merit to gain one or two concessions, but its not a position the U.S can commit too.

But the U.S/China trade war is probably inevitable. The countries are simply a million miles apart on so much. Its really, really difficult to see how it makes sense to continue that trade relationship.

An interesting article on the topic from a Chinese aligned newspaper.

Debt.

You mean using company taxes on profits earned through the sale of exported products in the domestic market OR the fact China holds U.S debt and can try to collect on it in a hurry or dump it? There are plenty of countries willing to buy U.S debt still and China simply does not hold enough to make the market collapse. Japan holds almost the same.

The idea China can bring down the U.S through its security holdings is a widely accepted myth.

If there was more equality and if American workers received a fairer share of the rising national income, then these tariffs wouldnt exist. And Trump wouldn't be president.

Trump one because the economies in middle America, away from the coasts, had been hollowed out since U.S inc decided to offshore all production to China. People were fed up and said "f989 it", vote Trump!

And that is still something that needs to rectified when the Democrats take over or you will straight back to the same situation and the same divide. Bringing manufacturing and other industry back to those areas is absolutely essential if America isn't to fracture even further.

It is a lie and it is another typical fake news put together by liberals in the US. President Trump has done a fabulous job in the US and he is now enjoying the support of overwhelming majority of Americans. Trump's trade wars have yield a huge amount of benefit to American people. Under his administration, 99% of Americans have seen their net worth jumped after last year's tax cut. If you are smart, you should know so-called Global Warming is just another hoax orchestrated by the rich. However, common people get hurt because we have to pay more for everything we buy in the form of carbon taxes.
