From an asthetic stand-point, I'll be glad to see the program wrap-up. Every car dealer within a 50 mile radius of where I live has littered his lot with "clunkers" to advertise their participation in the program.

It was a brilliant program.Too many American kids get cars at too young an age.A lot of clunkers were removed from the used market.Of course, I'm glad that wasn't the case when I was growing up.

Continue this program, and all families in USA will get cars ,older ones.

Good riddance. This program was a mistake, and simply borrows from the future for a little revenue today. Japan and other countries should be happy, though. They Japan had four of the top five cars sold. But in the end, this was about protecting a large group (auto-workers) and the party they support (Democrats). It was a boondoggle, and simply added to an ever-increasing deficit...
