Depends where you fly. Osaka to London tickets are so cheap. Qatar and Cathay are about 85,000 yen over Christmas.

That's before all the 'taxes and surcharges' are included, right?

Price of fuel goes up, price of tickets goes up the same week.

Price of fuel goes down, tickets might have small price reduction after 6 months to one year.

Not exactly fair is it!

Record profits yet the conditions on board are far from ideal! Airlines still cram people into economy's minuscule seats. I have found flying long haul to actually be injurious to my health in such cramped conditions On my last long haul flight of 12 hours I also couldn't face what passes for food in economy-Only when off the plane could I eat.....

The fuel surcharges are still in effect, they just call them "airline adjustments" and "carrier charges" now.

So, prices have stayed the same and in a cruel joke, will probably go up when fuel costs increase again.
