The tool that is most needed in this situation is a guillotine.

Some of my fellow Democrats - younger and in thrall to the nullities of postmodernism, or old hippies still angry at the world - force laughter and then take offense when I describe certain elements in the party as Jacobins...

"Boards need to recognize that many CEOs already have enough in terms of motivation and lifetime wealth,” says Jesse Brill, chair of the website CompensationStandards.com and an expert on CEO pay. “It is very frustrating to see boards keep giving them more.”

That's because the boards are composed of people who are top executives in other organizations.
