Why even bother reporting on Covid-19 in China when the article is about export figures. Totally unrelated and borderline sensationalism to promote disdain of China and her citizens. Japan needs China more than China needs Japan.

But that recovery has lost steam, with the economy weighed down by a debt-laden property sector, limp consumer confidence and a global economic slowdown.

Foreign direct investment in China has fallen off a cliff. Their raids of Bain & Company, Mintz Group and Capvision along with the arrest and detention of employees has western businesses in general running scared. Managers no longer want to travel there fearing arrest or being denied exit when they try to depart.
