The problem with countries like Japan and China banning those with permanent residence permits and qualified business owners is that it will further push businesses away from them as businesses will be forced to adjust and plan for a life where both countries are not a reliable sector. While China has the residents needed without foreign residents, they don’t necessarily have the jobs available without foreign companies. While Japan has the jobs, they don’t have the residents needed without foreigners.

Perfect opportunity for CCP to take over these companies.

One realizes that having good policies in a country is an advantage. People bragging about how nice China (and Japan and Qatar, etc) is. The (really) dark side shows in dire time.

China doesn't care. As long as the CCP is safe, everything is fine.

The only problem I see now, is that Countries are quickly waking up to "Globalisation" as potentially not being such a good thing after all, and maybe, Regionalization should be more of their focus - just as the French are touting. So where will this take us ?
Instead of "Asia Ex-Japan", we should be seeing "Asia Ex-China" as a reporting category.
