5% growth for an economy that size does not strike me as lackluster. The G7 is averaging 1% and the EU is hovering around zero.

Xi needs to do serious deals with Trump to restart China's economy and also end global destabilization.
Biden's Wars must be stopped that fueled global inflation and destroyed currencies real asset purchasing power.
Trump and Xi will stabilize the world = End the Wars and then rebuild global economic trust and confidence.

Of course, whenever there is an economic problem in China, a superhero always comes to the rescue: the National Bureau of Statistics of China (国家统计局)!
No problems in China—none at all!

The National Bureau of Statistics uses data supplied to them by regional party cadre. It's GIGO. The local party pukes want to be promoted so they fluff up their region's data to look good to the big guy in Beijing. None of them will admit to any kind of bad data. The National Bureau of Statistics just compiles this, cough cough, "data" into macro numbers for the nation.

That is not going to help China at all. China needs to reduce restrictions on private enterprise, stop wasting company time on monthly party meetings, reform their banking system and decentralize decision making.
