The Trump Effect. He hasn't even been sworn in and he is shaking the rug. Lets see what else falls out. the only way Trump will get any meaningful jobs back from China is to impose high tariffs on imported goods. That not only will break WTO rules, itll also start a trade war with China. Basically American business can forget about any future growth in the Chinese market as Chinas counter tariffs will stop that. Chinas market has far more growth potential over the coming years than the US economy.

China saying "Hey everybody! We are welcoming all investors!" probably means that China is not a great place to invest anymore. Maybe China should try harder to become a real economy without currency controls and with rule of law and protection of property rights. Maybe then investors might be attracted. Does this seem obvious?
