CHINA's BYD, Tesla, and the entire government-backed push for EVs are nothing but a massive SCAM designed to enrich globalist elites while forcing everyday people into overpriced, unreliable, and heavily surveilled vehicles that they want to control. BYD is just another tentacle of the CCP’s economic warfare, flooding the market with subsidized cars to undercut competition while Tesla makes Elon Musk richer while governments handcuff consumers with bans, taxes, and regulations to force us into their dystopian battery-powered nightmare.

Meanwhile, the working-class backbone of society - the farmers, truckers, and everyday drivers - know that petrol and diesel vehicles are the only real, reliable, and self-sufficient option. The sick globalist control freaks pushing this agenda will NEVER take my Land Cruiser, a symbol of actual freedom and capability.... it will NEVER be replaced by an overpriced, software-locked surveillance box with a battery that costs more than the vehicle itself to replace.

Last time I checked, the CEOs of Ford, Toyota or Peugot weren't exactly blue-collar middle class workers. And the people selling the oil that powers those cars really aren't exactly middle-class either. Do you even own a vehicle? Do you have a driver's license? If you did, I wonder why you would conveniently "forget" the fact that petrol and diesel-powered vehicles can run on alternative fuels like recycled vegetable oil, biodiesel, and even synthetic fuels - giving people ACTUAL choice and self-sufficiency.

What's the alternative when your overpriced, remotely controlled, software-locked EV decides to shut down because of a "system update" or a government-mandated restriction? If your diesel truck breaks down, you can fix it. If your EV malfunctions, you're at the mercy of the manufacturer, waiting for permission to use the vehicle you supposedly own.

You're furiously debating with yourself there. My comment was only about the irony of criticizing the "rich elites" of the EV industry while praising the rich elites of the old school auto industry. Recently I have started seeing a few BYDs even here in Japan. Not many, of course, but still, they seem to be increasing.

It's about time the US stopped throwing its weight around and trying to be the world's policeman and concentrated its attention on developing new technologies. Tariffs are not going to solve the problem. The US auto industry used to lead the world. It could again. Innovation won it the top position before. And could again.

Competition is great, as Elon always says, we're not an auto company but rather a tech. company focused on AI, robotics, software and clean energy.

Most analysts put +90% of Tesla's value in tech, not auto, Tesla's great cashflow funds its many tech. investments, while building a fortress balance sheet with no debt.

Tesla Humanoid Robots will travel to Mars next year! All of Musk's businesses are very well funded and private with exception of Tesla. Far more agile and speedy!

I drove BYD Seal some days ago.

Better car than Tesla 3/by my humble opinion/ but resale value...in addition we are in Japan and we know abt some kind of sinophobia here...
