As noted, this was doomed to fail. You can get very biased news for free. Why pay?

CNN+ morphs into CNN-

CNN is definitely not "leftist progressive news". I don't think any major US news network qualifies as that.
But it really didn't offer anything you couldn't get from any of the other neoliberal sources. If you are gonna offer a paid service, you need to offer something people can't get elsewhere.

I'm not usually a big fan of schadenfreude, but I'll make an exception here.

as expected.
only morons will pay for flood of fake news 24/7
well done guys hope more outlets to follow soon.

Both partisan outlets based on what I’ve seen, although I’d say CNN aims at a higher IQ group. Fox used to have very good looking women with low-cut tops and short skirts, although Tucker Carlson might be indicating a shift towards a more homoerotic direction these days.
I used to have CNN in Japan as part of a SkyPerfect package and I think it worked out that I was paying about ¥60 a month for CNN. Not worth it.

It was shut down by their new owners - not because of reasons you guys think
Their old owner (WarnerMedia) believes in niche subscriptions, but their new owner (Discovery) doesn't believe in that. Instead, Discovery believes in consolidating into one giant subscription service. The same day that Discovery took ownership, they immediately told CNN about it
CNN+ will live on but be integrated into the same service as HBO Max, Discovery+, etc.

Hahahahahaha great news.
well actually not great news, or it would have lasted more than a month.
bye Chris Wallace!

CNN is shutting down its CNN+ streaming service less than a month after its launch, a spectacular flameout for a venture that had attracted stars like Chris Wallace and Alison Roman and was seen as a way to attract a new generation of news consumers.
Lots of tears streaming down the faces of the liberals today.

Still do and brains to boot in a tantalizing package.
Naw, the guy is 100% a skirt lover.
I knew it was doomed from the very start.
