I remember seeing an ad for this car: https://youtu.be/XNwOYbLdfhg

I hope that day never comes. Forcing the world to share cars and make cars into public transportation like buses and trains is not my vision of the ideal future of mobility.
Please keep thinking of ways to allow people to have choices rather than a 'one size fits all' mentality.

And that's how time works, children. Of course it's a future car. It's coming soon.

No one has explained how an un-manned vehicle will deal with a drunk puking all over the seat. Wouldn’t want to be the next person to call that vehicle!
Thet car in the picture has got to be one of the ugliest I have seen!

We all like buzz words, the word of the moment. Some years ago the next big thing was fuel from corn and other natural foods cutting dependence on fossil fuels.
We know how it ended.

And when they invented the airplane, nobody explained that either. New technologies, no matter how wonderful, always seem to attract comments about trivialities that they have to overcome. If I invented invisibility, the first comment I would hear on this website would not be "wow," but "how will you avoid getting run over by a car?"
This is an obvious advancement for humanity. Cars and expensive and wasteful. It is generally seen as a positive that one can live in Tokyo without a car. This offers the same convenience to people who live elsewhere. How can anyone be against that?

What This articles shows is the progression that is coming out of China.
I couldn’t imagine the Japanese government allowing a foreign car maker the rights to offer a high end service here.
From hyper planes to all electric cities China is going to lead more and more and Japan is not going to be able to catch up.

Totally pointless to care about electric cars in China when all other industries are busy polluting the air, water, soil.
