Rare, unlikely and not statistically significant enough.

People can die of the flu as well. What is your point?

Hmm. I guess maybe I just don't care, and spend more but don't notice. Luckily times have never been tough for me. I guess I am above acerage then?

Well it is true. Is it not? Japan has the lowest unemployment rate and the lowest inflation rate.
True but for a full picture you also have to add country with the highest public debt in the developed word, country where real wages have fallen by 8% over the past 30 years (+70 % in Europe and 90% in US), country with minimum wage at 1078 jpy (in Tokyo less elsewhere. Try to live with that ), country with 40 % jobs part time, baito …type, country with very low public pensions…etc.

Count me as one of the spenders. Plan to be at the onsen everyday, followed by the yakitoriya, everyday eating out, etc.

That's right, all this economic growth re-opening catalyst has costs related to infection, specifically severe disease and death. See below.
New XBB Variant, many escape qualities, prior infection, vaccination or both offers little protection from infection.
Japan's official case count today May 8th - only up 86% from last Monday May 1st, World class research on excess disease and death, UK Lancet Medical Journal, death due to prior infection worth reading!

A friend of mine wife ,told me she had enlarged heart due too long COVID,this dispute the fact that Covid is a minor illness and should not be confused with the flu

I keep hearing about rising prices, but I have not felt them. I spend the same amount I did for over 10 years and have not seen increases?

Very good news! Japan has always been a great destination for tourists! Please come to see us!

Timing is everything. This has just handed the LDP another victory in any near future elections. Every incumbent LDP candidate will point to "their" policies here, in keeping Japan "safe" and improving the economy. (All while the average bloke on the street continues to suffer as prices keep rising and wages stay stagnant)

Sounds like total voodoo economics.
How would that work out? Who is being. 'kept away from work 'inordinantly at this stage of the pandemic?
As usual, there will be gains for the landed owners of properties and business and maybe some zero hour pt work for the masses.

That can happen if price doesn't increase however many price items now already increase in Japan, people spend less now.
