Well it is true. Is it not? Japan has the lowest unemployment rate and the lowest inflation rate.

True but for a full picture you also have to add country with the highest public debt in the developed word, country where real wages have fallen by 8% over the past 30 years (+70 % in Europe and 90% in US), country with minimum wage at 1078 jpy (in Tokyo less elsewhere. Try to live with that ), country with 40 % jobs part time, baito …type, country with very low public pensions…etc.

Count me as one of the spenders. Plan to be at the onsen everyday, followed by the yakitoriya, everyday eating out, etc.

I keep hearing about rising prices, but I have not felt them. I spend the same amount I did for over 10 years and have not seen increases?

Some 1.1 trillion yen would be generated by increased productivity as people will be less frequently kept away from work under the new guidelines.

Sounds like total voodoo economics.

How would that work out? Who is being. 'kept away from work 'inordinantly at this stage of the pandemic?

As usual, there will be gains for the landed owners of properties and business and maybe some zero hour pt work for the masses.
