People do DIY in the UK as it adds value to the home-in Japan not so much.

In Japan with the constant movements that houses have to suffer my biggest outlay has been on silicone fillers for the constantly appearing wall cracks that allow water to flow into the house...

live In the countryside. For a great day out, there is the combini, supermarket and the home center.

i meet many local people and spend about 45-60mins in each place. Pandemic time is DIY time!

My between jobs month off went from a planned Europe-Japan-Hawaii trip to see family to finishing my basement. I love DIY, but I can safely say I would have rather had the trip.
