i dont understand obsession about Detroit motor show and american EVs since these will be never imported to Japan and yes-this info may be interesting for readers in USA so from my point of view-its off topic and have to be moderated.

Yes, but Japanese auto brands too will be driven out of California, New York and 12 other CARB states after 2035 ICE sale ban(This includes Hybrids and PHEVs).

Same story in EU too, a total ICE ban in the UK by 2030, in EU by 2035.

Japanese auto brands that are behind even the Chinese will disappear from US/EU auto markets.

FYI, top 2 EV brands in the US are Tesla and Hyundai/Kia.
