Ghosn waited your more that a year for a trial date that never came. Plus, jumping bail is not a crime in Japan.

Look at what he has done on Nissan and Infiniti from 2012 - 2019 ( Just for himself being rich ---example : Enron Case )

The real issue at Nissan is the lack of quality long term. The marketing and looks of the vehicles are very good, but the quality of Infinity/Nissan is not as good as Honda or Toyota. Many Japanese cars do not go many miles so you don't notice the lack of quality as much. The engineers/managers could only turn their heads for so long. So the marketing leadership style of Ghosn does not match the leadership of Nissan Japan or its employees.

Won't happen. Japanese officials just wanted to keep in in detention for maximum time for one thing, then repeat for another, all the while pushing back any actual court proceedings.

Or prove me wrong, Japanese prosecutors! Do it without Ghosn and prove the the courts and to the world that Ghosn was the bad guy you say he is. Like they say in the Nissan TV commercials, "やっちゃえニッサン" Put up or shut up.

Eventually, Nissan will either be fully absorbed by Renault or get acquired by a Chinese big corporation that has state-sponsorship.

He should think twice, thrice, a hundred times, before he should accept anymore position from Nissan. If I were him, I would sell all my shares in the company and move on to another. His abilities are in demand in so many fair and just companies.

Maybe Japan should let him stay in Lebanon. Living in Lebanon is punishment enough.

Personally I wouldn't mind if the trial is open to the general public to see it, so all of us can make our own opinion directly.

He didn't become a CEO/Chairman of multi-national corporation because he "shuts up". Maybe for most people, they can be controlled by cultures and archaic traditions, but not Ghosn's caliber. He's in a whole universe out of your league. He was able to make a whole first world country's justice system his enemy and he is winning. I just can't LOL enough.

I seriously doubt that with all his business acumen and success with Nissan during his 20 years there, Ghosn could have saved the automaker from the ravages of the coronavirus.

Really, he should shut up and be grateful he is at liberty. But he’s not really free, trapped in Lebanon and unable to go anywhere due to the virus, travel restrictions and that Interpol red notice stapled to his name.

By the way, Bloomberg had an interesting story over the weekend detailing how his daughter helped in his escape from Japan, even though Ghosn specifically said his family had no part in it. He had lunch with his daughter on the day of his escape.

Nissan and Renault are two very good motor corporations. They are facing difficulties right now but within a couple of years they will be back on their feet.

As for those who write hateful comments about the former Lebanese CEO they give me the impression that they are just losers.
