No mention of the bad press and regulatory scrutiny Tesla has faced recently in China. Elon Musk doesn't strike me as someone who will kiss Xi Jinping's backside in the manner demanded of those who wish to succeed in business in China today.

This reminds me when this first came out as an issue.

The pro Bitcoin came out with backflips to try and show that physical cash cost more in energy, etc..

And came up with comparing the energy to produce a penny a Canadian dollar coin into KWh stating the coins used more KWh than bitcoins.

Only one problem, Bitcoins need to use electricity constantly but the coins once produced cost nothing to maintain and remain in circulation for decades.

It was such an obvious and poor attempt at downplaying the energy use of bitcoins even many supporters of bitcoins had to admit the problem.

This comment I believe goes with the other article on Bitcoin and Tesla.

No mention of the bad press and regulatory scrutiny Tesla has faced recently in China.

The following in the article is in reference to that.

Tesla's China sales are surging despite mounting regulatory pressure in the country after consumer disputes over product safety and scrutiny over how it handles data.

Since the Chinese have a different concept of “sharing” and US companies have had technology taken, how does Tesla prevent Chinese companies from stealing its intellectual property with its factory in China?

Tesla corners the market by being faster to market with technology than the Chinese companies. Tesla lets rivals access its patented technology for free...and there's no catch. Its source is open and saying “bring it on Chinese state enterprises. Show us what you’ve got!”

No more crash-and-burn Teslas. Such a great loss.

It's not Tesla.. but it's the CCP's cronies at play here. You need to dig deeper to see the real story here. Sadly, Tesla is learning its lesson - just hope they have their software secured from Chinese Nationals.

At present, were I to be running a Multinational Corporation, I would not hire either Russian nor Chinese Nationals, simply over Security concerns, and would extend that to also cover Nationals sympathetic to those same Nations - purely out of a Security risk.

Indeed I would start letting go all such Nationals right now!

A Cyberwar is in the making, as we are rapidly seeing, and having Nationals from those originating Nations embedded within my Company would be, too much of a risk. My Apologies to those, from those Countries, I hope you would understand.
