Doing business in China is no different than business in Japan or most asian countries. There always some kind of protection racket. In China, the fee is technology, intellectual property and patents. Countries need to just shift manufacturing to India, Africa and South America.

Continuing to do so is setting countries up to be stabbed in the back by China sometime in the future.

How is UK, China, and Hong Kong situation going again?

Musk has paid off the loan for his Chinese site. One has to think, he may be mulling pulling out from China.
