Trump's proposals … could send inflation surging, economists have said.

Did these economists predict the inflation outburst that occurred under the watch of the current administration?

Can’t wait for the election to be over with, and maybe we can have a period of analysis worth reading.

The Fed could be more likely to raise rates in response to tariffs this time, according to economists at Pantheon Macroeconomics, "given that Trump is threatening much bigger increases in tariffs.”

It wouldn’t make sense, because such a tariff move would be a one-time thing. Raising interest rates wouldn’t do anything to change the effects of tariffs.

Furthermore tariffs aren’t the only policy Trump has proposed. For example the “drill baby, drill” proposal would over time boost production of energy, therefore lowering energy prices, and being disinflationary.

Gas prices have been dropping. Most states' gas prices have been below $3 per gallon

No, because we hadn't experienced a worldwide pandemic in recent times.

Yeah, of the massive destruction the low information are planning to implement.

Not everything is energy and any sort of increase in production will go on the worldwide market and have little effect on the US. Also producers won't really want to increase when they know a Democrat administration will be coming right behind Trump v2.
