More burps=less milk?
Who worked that one out?

Another effective method to reduce burping would be by reducing the amount of milk and beef consumed.

Looking online, it appears that another method to reduce methane production by cattle is to include seaweed as part of their diet. A country like Japan, surrounded by the ocean, is well-placed to take investige this stratagem.
However, I can't help thinking that the quickly defrosting permafrost in the arctic circle is a much more drastic and imminent threat to our survival than the burping of cattle. The amount of methane sequestered in the arctic, and under the ocean, is huge.
