Bought their fan in the summer cause it was the tiniest yet strongest outputing one in the whole store.

If Iris would put a Japanese style power nozzle on a bagged canister vacuum I would probably buy it. In the US nobody sells a Japanese style canister vacuum with a power nozzle that can be used on hard floors as well as carpets and with the dusting brush built into the hose end, flipping up from underneath or sliding down over the hose end when you need to use it. My wife adores these features (no bending over for attachments, no need to change nozzles going from hard floors to area rugs) so we use a Japanese market Panasonic in the US on 120 volt power. Doesn't seem to bother it. Would be much better if Iris sold such a vacuum in the US made for the US power supply.

Interesting article. I always assumed it was just Chinese stuff rebranded to sound Japanese. I have some fans by them. They are the DC motor type that use hardly any electricity, and so are as good as any other manufacturer's.

God's speed! Lets bring manufacturing back to Japan from China. With more automation even the older people can still work and draw a salary. Lets make it happen.

Bucking the trend - an interesting business model for (whisper it) contracting economies.
