a Corolla hatchback under the Matrix name, and ...cars that are nearly identical to the Corolla

A bit difficult to claim that these are Corollas, I think. Maybe Toyota should rename to Corolla Matrx, etc.

Toyotas correct theyre basically the same chassis with different names for different countries, people like to state specs thats suits there situation. the Corolla is the best selling model in the world since cars have been made, over 40million sold since 1966, only the Ford F-Series comes close with 34million sold but they started in 1948, my first car was a Corolla 290,000km on the clock and still going strong um til I crashed it. douh!!

While FORD and Toyota are claiming top sold cars in the World, Nissan is more interested in their hybrid car sales up. Other automakers are more interested in making less gas consumption cars and profitable . Total auto sales by a company than car names?
