Fujifim Corp announced Wednesday that it has established Fujifilm Medical Systems Vietnam Co Ltd in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to further expand its medical business in the fast-growing economy of Vietnam. Preparation is currently underway to launch business operations in October.
Having achieved the economic growth of 7 to 8% per annum over the last few years, Vietnam has emerged as one of the marketplaces that are expected to maintain strong growth. In the medical field in particular, the Vietnamese government has been promoting the construction of medical institutions, with the aim of improving the quality of medical care in the country. This is expected to bring a substantial growth also in the medical product market.
Fujifilm has worked through local distributors to expand the sales of medical products, such as digital diagnostic X-ray imaging systems, X-ray films and endoscopes, in the Vietnamese market. With the expansion of the market, the company has decided to set up a local subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City to further reinforce the sales of such products.
Fujifilm said it will establish a direct selling system that would meet the diverse needs of the market and will enhance rapid and direct execution of our marketing strategy. The new subsidiary will also promote the introduction of picture archiving and communications systems (SYNAPSE) whose market is expected to grow, along with digital diagnostic X-ray imaging systems and endoscopes, by conducting sales and marketing activities which correspond with the needs from the market.© Japan Today
