Fujitsu has announced that it will commence operations for Fujitsu Japan Ltd on Oct 1, aiming to further expand business in the Japan services market, in which Fujitsu boasts the top share.
From April 2021, Fujitsu said it will gradually integrate the domestic business functions of its group companies, with the new company being positioned as the core company in the domestic market driving the actualization of the Fujitsu group's purpose: "to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation."
Fujitsu Japan Ltd will contribute to the attainment of Society 5.0, an ultra-smart, sustainable society, while delivering business continuity and measures to resolve urgent issues facing society in light of the emergence of the challenges of the new normal, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is only a matter of time that most of Japan INC will end up in either American or Chinese hands.

Another company, another name. Won't mask the de-globalisation of Japanese companies.

Yahoo, Sonny, Nintendo,... all the big players have splitted in 'inside Japan' and 'outside Japan'.
Japan is a protectionist country, not suitable for multinational companies.

I keep hearing conflicting stories: Is Fujitsu still fully Japanese? I thought some of its subsidiaries were bought over by china companies?

Smells a lot like financial restructuring. Would the current Fujitsu be having some as yet to be stated financial problems by any chance?

A whole load of nothing once again. Just a box to put all existing subsidiaries in and hopefully make the company leaner. An overstaffed, over traditional, over administered company but they seem to realise, finally, they need to shape up. Good product, the usual horrible marketing and old fashioned advertising.
I don’t expect any real change.
